Summer reading challenge: Treasure hunt

Treasure hunt is a summer reading challenge for primary school children and their families. Treasure hunt begins on Monday, June 1, and continues until the end of August.

Get your Treasure hunt passport from your library or print it out online. On the passport, you will find the reading challenge guidelines and assignments as well as summer reading recommendations. You can pick books from the list, or read or listen to books of your own choosing.

The passport has six assignments. When you have completed them, take the passport to a library and show it to a librarian. You will get a character drawing that you can colour and add to the Treasure Hunt ship in the library.

The Treasure Hunt passport is available in all Vaasa city library locations and online. It is available in English, Finnish, Swedish, Russian, Estonian, Arabic and Sami.

All libraries in Finland can join the reading challenge. Treasure hunt was developed at Seinäjoki public library by the team running the national development service for promoting reading among children and young people in Finland.
